I am completely in love with this quilt. Just smitten. So much so that before we even finished the first sample, I was already planning my second version with all of my favorite stash prints. It's not necessarily something you want to tackle all in one sitting but if you divide this quilt up into sections, I think you will enjoy the process of making it as much as we did! The finished quilt is a masterpiece, but surprisingly all of the smaller sections are very simple blocks - mostly flying geese and the traditional Weathervane block.
BLOCK SIZE: (9) 21" finished blocks / 21 1/2" unfinished blocks [uf]
QUILT SIZE: 75" x 75"
MATERIALS LIST
Blocks:
(16) 1/4 yd. -OR- fat quarters [(4) colors with (4) prints each]
We chose red, aqua, green and orange along with the black [black yardages for these blocks are accounted for in sashing materials below].
Block Centers:
(5) 1/8 yds. coordinating prints to your block colors [red, aqua, green, orange, black].
