Working to create fun and unusual patterns that can easily be made with a jelly roll, or your favorite collection of 2 1/2" strips, is one of my favorite "pattern assignments" as a designer. This block has all of the things that I love about a jelly roll quilt...plenty of color and print variety, easy construction with the SEW & FLIP method, and a lot of movement with all of those swirls. Thank you Sophie for the fabulous name...it's perfect for the pattern.

MATERIALS LIST
Blocks:
(1) Jelly Roll -OR- (36) 2 1/2" strips in a variety of color & cream prints
Accent Background:
1 1/4 yds. small cream print
Background:
1 1/4 yds. ivory solid
Border:
1 yd. small cream print [only for larger version #1]
Note that we used the same fabric here as we did for the accent background.
Backing:
4 yds.
Binding:
5/8 yd. small coral or red print
