I know I have said this before, but I just can't resist a red, cream and green quilt! Seriously I am drawn to them in every style & time period. When I saw a picture of this antique beauty, it was made with multiple templates and "y-seams". I just had to try to update it. Not being one for complicated piecing, I have come up with a way to do this most traditional of blocks without using a single template or "y-seam", using simple strip & chain piecing instead!I think the quilt looks stunning in this traditional color combination, but would be romantic and beautiful in warm pink, cream and cinnamon brown or wonderful with scrappy lilies or a floral background.
