Making a simple but interesting block "scrappy" is one of my favorite design tasks. Making it all work with a single Layer Cake is even more satisfying for me. There are so many options for this pattern! You can make the larger version shown here and add in (3) extra yardage bits to go for this max larger size, or you can stick with what you can get from a single layer cake and work in all of those cream prints. You can also choose a two color version and, as you can see, I couldn't resist the classic red and cream combination.
