I have always loved the swirl effect of these blocks but never wanted to work with all templates & bias triangles in order to get it. Once we started playing around with this unique piecing method & realized that with a bit of precise trimming we could easily work without any templates...well, the rest as they say is history. These are traditionally called Snails Trail blocks and are shown set here in 2 different settings.
