Minis are my absolute new favorite thing to do. In between all the larger quilts that I am working on, there is just something wonderful about starting and finishing a mini quilt in an afternoon. It is a perfect way to use up scraps or a Layer Cake or mix and match your favorite new collection with a little bit of goodies from your stash. Grab your favorite charm pack, a few low volume cream prints and a favorite solid and you are ready to go. All you need after that is a border and binding...but you can definitely decide on that after you have the inside! The moment that we did a large size version of this Coney Island Remix pattern, I knew that it was destined to be a mini. It is one of my all time most favorite blocks to make!! Perfect summertime mini to add to your wall collection or as a lovely table topper. Just makes you think of beautiful, yummy ice cream cones. This block is too cute to resist in this size!
