Jumping Jacks

This is one of those patterns that was perfect when it was first created and is just as timely today almost 12 years later… can you believe it!? I knew back then that I wanted to create a Union Jack pattern that was constructed in my own way and that featured all of my favorite florals for that English countryside vibe. At the time of designing it, I had seen all kinds of Union Jack patterns but none of them were quite what I was looking for so I set out to work out the math and create one of my own. And so Jumping Jacks was created and has been made hundreds of times since then by so many of you. This new updated version, is just as wonderful today as it was then. Truly a quilt that will never go out of style!

Fabric Requirements
Flag Blocks: (12) ¼ yds. or fat quarters medium and large florals*
We used our red floral twice so you will need ½ yd of that if you do the same
Sashing: (2) ¾ yd. coral and medium blue prints
Posts: ¼ yd. coral
Eyelet Block Background: 2 ¾ yd. ivory -or- ivory
Eyelet Outer Border: 1 yd. large blue floral
Backing: 5 ¼ yds. floral print
Binding: ⅝ yd. red gingham print
