I have always dreamt of living on a small farm and it's still something I hope to do one day. So as we go on weekend drives in the country, I dream up what my cottage will need to look like. It has to be white and it has to have a yellow or red door. There has to be a picket fence and lots and lots of field flowers growing near the fence. There will be chickens and maybe a goat - although those didn't quite make it onto the quilt! With a picket fence and a big red barn in the back for hosting quilting retreats, a girl can dream right? This is my daydream of my Farm Cottage. Grab your favorite bundle and some border prints or work through your stash to find your favorite colors and build your own Farm Cottage! Making this project piece by piece and border by border has been so much fun that I am quite sad we have finished it! Each new round brings another new fun block to make but there is never enough of any of them to get tedious or boring. I am dying to make it in yellow next! Personalize the quilt with stitching or specialized quilting that will make it "your own" cottage!
