Downloadable Version of our Rosehips Pattern
The first time I designed this block, I instant fell in love and immediately started seeing various versions and sizes and options. Sometimes it's just a little bit crazy inside my head...:-) So of course I couldn't pick just one option here and have given you a few. Whether you start with Layer Cakes or yardage, choose large blocks or smaller ones, this beautiful block that reads like a wreath when put into a quilt is sure to be one of your favorites just like it is mine!
BLOCK SIZE: (25) 10" or (16) 16" finished blocks
QUILT SIZE: app. 65" x 65" or 80" x 80"
MATERIALS LIST
16-BLOCK VERSION #1:
Blocks:
(16) 1/4 yds. or fat quarters various prints
Posts:
(5) 1/4 yds. various post small prints
Background/Sashing:
4 1/2 yds. cream solid
Outer Border:
1 yd. red stripe
Backing:
4 7/8 yds. print of your choice **see below
Binding:
5/8 yd. green solid or small print
25-BLOCK VERSION #2:
Blocks:
2 Layer Cakes -OR- Fat 1/8th bundle
Background/Sashing:
3 1/2 yd. cream solid
Outer Border & Posts:
1 yd. red stripe
Backing:
4 yds. print of your choice
Binding:
1/2 yd. aqua solid

**Backing: If your quilter needs more than 2 3/4" on each side, you will either need to add in a scrappy strip to add to the length or you will need to buy an additional 2 1/2 yds. Given the 80" size of this quilt, this is the backing dilemma!
Quilt Size: 65" x 65" or 80" x 80"
