As I look at this quilt quilted & bound, I am a bit in awe of its simplicity and beauty all at the same time. I do believe that it will be an heirloom quilt that you cherish forever regardless of the color combinations or style you choose. Simple and straight forward directions & no specialty templates or rulers, make these blocks fun to put together even though each one is its own little masterpiece. Working on each block as its own little project, makes the process so worthwhile in the end! We would also love to see this one in patriotic colors...fireworks!

SUMMER MARIGOLDS
Blocks:
(14-18) 1/4 yds. 14 minimum up to 18 for a bit more variety
Leaves & Stems:
1 yd. green solid/small print -OR- (2-3) 3/8 yd. green small prints for leaves + 1/2 yd. green solid for stems.
Ivory Background:
3 1/4 yds.
Sashing:
1 1/4 yds. small ivory print -OR- (6) various 1/4 yds. of small ivory prints for a scrappy sashing.
Backing:
4 1/4 yds.
Binding:
5/8 yd.

CHRISTMAS MUMS
Blocks:
(4) 5/8 yds. for outer blooms and (4) 3/8 yds. for inner blooms.
In our version, we used (2) reds & (2) greens for the outer blooms and (2) reds & (2) creams for the inner blooms.
Leaves & Stems:
1 yd. green solid or small print
Ivory Background:
3 1/4 yds.
Sashing:
1 1/4 yds.
Backing:
4 1/4 yds.
Binding:
5/8 yd.
