Downloadable Version of our Little House in the Woods Pattern

This quilt was inspired by a family visit to a tree farm one Christmas. There was just something about the tree and the red accents in the decorations that made my mind swirl with little red schoolhouse & tree block combos. They are, after all, two of my favorite quilt blocks! And when I figured out that I could make the whole thing work with just a Layer Cake of squares, the challenge was on for me!

BLOCK SIZE: (20) 9" x 10" finished blocks
QUILT SIZE: 58" x 65"

MATERIALS LIST
Trees & Houses:
1 Layer Cake -OR- a scrappy assortment of reds and greens/aquas
Stars:
(1) 1/4 yd. brown [or use Layer Cake it it has brown]
Tree Block Accent:
(1) 1/4 yd. cream print [or use Layer Cake if it has cream]
Background:
2 1/2 yds. ivory solid or white on white print
Inner Border:
1/2 yd.
Outer Border:
3/4 yd.
Backing:
3 3/4 yds.
Binding:
1/2 yd. green print
