As a quilter and a crafter, I have tried a variety of crafts over the years. I love to work with my hands and some things work for me while others apparently just don't work for my brain. Crochet is one of those things! For years I have admired the gorgeous crochet granny square afghans. I have serious crochet afghan jealousy each and every time I see one of those beautiful rainbow masterpieces. I knew it was never going to happen for me, so I set out to try to make a quilt pattern that would resemble it as much as possible. And now I can have my own quilted version of a crochet blanket…whether in the traditional black color way or a more fresh ivory background…or for that matter, any favorite solid you choose!
