Downloadable Version of our Purseletes Pattern
I know you have probably heard this from me before because I am easily pleased when it comes to new designs, but I am giddy about these purses! I am going to admit that before this, I had never sewn in a zipper. Zippers scared me! I had heard scary things about putting them in! I thought they were way too complicated for me! After all, I was a quilter not a seamstress. Well, my friend, Cheryl, showed me how to sew in a zipper to the front and the lining of a bag at the same time in about 5 minutes and I was hooked! This method hides the zipper completely with the front and the lining and does not even require a zipper foot! I have made one of these bags for several of my colleagues and I can now whip one out in about 2 hours! These Fig Tree Threads patterns are going to turn me into a seamstress yet!
