I know some of you were really interested in this design as a needle minder and went about creating your own. So I thought I would share here that it is possible to do that. In the past, we have had several of our customers cut off the shaft with strong wire cutters, sand it down a bit and glue on a magnet. So if you are crafty, you can definitely turn this into a needle minder with just a few steps.
In case you are wondering what a "needle minder" is... it comes with a strong magnet on the back, one that is permanently attached to the back of the pin and one that is moveable. Simply put the pin on the top of your fabric or stitchery and then place the magnet on the other side. You instantly have a spot to put your needle when not in use, to secure extra pins you as you are adding them or removing them from what you are working on.
