PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TEXT TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS....
The moment we designed this pattern for a late Spring release, we knew that our best selling Navajo Stars pattern would need to eventually be recreated again as a Halloween quilt! Filled with our favorite oranges, creams, warm blacks and soft greys this is the third in a series of classic Fig Tree Halloween bundles! The kit makes the Spiderweb [4 star version] quilt as shown. From the cutup leftovers of the above quilt, you can make the 24" checkerboard table topper [pattern will be available on our blog next week].
If you want to keep going you have enough fabrics left in the bundle to keep cutting and make the checkerboard quilt all the way up to a large lap size [you would need to purchase more cream dot fabric in order to do that or make the cream backgrounds scrappy from your stash]! There is pretty much enough Halloween fabrics in the bundle to make two large quilts!
The fabrics are a total mix and include some Fig Tree that are happily accompanied by Sweetwater, Little Black Dress, Primitive Gatherings, Bonnie & Camille, 3 Sisters, Moda Essentials and more! The kit includes (11) 1/2 yd. cuts and background cream with dot-- all the fabric that you will need to make the Spiderweb quilt, including a scrappy binding and the pattern. It also includes enough fabric to make the checkerboard quilt in a table topper size or much bigger if you want to keep going and add cream backgrounds.
Although we try as hard as possible to keep the kits exactly like the quilts shown, due to the huge popularity of these Halloween yummies, we sometimes have to trade out one or another fabric for something similar when we run out. We guarantee that all the fabrics look wonderfully "Halloweeny" together! Also please note that we added our new orange Somerset "trio of dots" fabric into our sample shown but since that yardage hasn't shipped to stores yet, we couldn't add it into your kits. We recommend that you other cut the Honeysweet orange included in each kit double if you are anxious to get started -OR- add in an orange from a previous line for your 12th strip -OR- that you get started on your stars [cutting, sewing strips into pairs, cutting out your background] but wait until yardage of Somerset comes out in a few weeks and add that yummy orange into your mix once it is available in stores. You will only need 1/4 yd, 1/2 yd. if you want to make a larger checkerboard quilt as well.
