Well you asked for it, so we made it! This might just be my favorite BOTTLECAPS quilt yet, although the green one is holding a very close second place!! Please read very carefully so you know what you are getting in this kit!

DESCRIPTION
I have to tell you that I think this quilt might end up being one of those projects that I can’t stop making…. Like ever! We have made 4 versions so far… and we have 2 more cut out on the cutting table!! Part of the fun of this pattern is that while you are cutting out the pieces for one, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY ALSO CUTTING OUT THE ALTERNATE PIECES FOR A 2ND QUILT.… yup! It’s a “two-fer”. And not only that but the method we use to make the circles includes lightweight interfacing and the quickest circle method we know of [interfacing is not included in your kit] so the blocks feel like they almost make themselves!

This kit includes all the fabrics you see for the blocks including the ivory block backgrounds, the yellow background and the aqua binding [over 11 yards of fabric since you are making the wheels for 2 full quilts!]. It also includes the pattern. Pattern comes with its own hard plastic template included in the pattern. The only other thing you will need is lightweight fusible interfacing. We use Pellon Lightweight Fusible Interfacing 906F. If you are ordering before your pattern arrives, you will need 5 ½ yds. for this smaller version and/or 7 ½ yds for the larger/second version.

You might be wondering about the price and the amount of fabric so here is the explanation. Given the method, you are basically making the circle blocks for 2 quilts at the same time [so you will cut out the wedges for 2 full quilts at the same time, the larger green one in the pattern and the smaller yellow one that is featured in this kit] and there is no way to cut it down and make just one at a time...so you are going to be stuck making 2 of this goodie.... Oh darn... one for you and one for your bestie... or if you are feeling a little selfish [like me], 2 for you on two different color backgrounds for a completely different look. Believe me, they are slightly addictive to make!

So in summary: this kit will make all of the circle blocks for 2 quilts and then has all of the yellow background and binding you need for the one yellow quilt. To finish the second quilt that you already have the circles cut out, you will need to get color background [in our sample it is green], interfacing and binding for that second quilt on your own. I can't wait to see your second versions!
Or not to make this whole thing any more complicated... but if you want to make the larger quilt version in the pattern but in yellow, you can do that too. You would need to email us for a bit of additional yellow background and binding. We could add that into your kit and charge the extra $15 to your card. Okay, that's it for the info, now go and sew!!
