Inspired by a vintage antique find, this is our version of a “make do” patchwork, using favorite large florals, toweling stripes, sampler prints to create a scrappy vintage feel. We used actual toweling pieces for some of the pieces and used up scraps in other parts. I recommend washing toweling prior to use to get a more used feel and even perhaps “tea staining” them if they are too white [more info on last page of pattern]. We added the textured fabrics into the pieced blocks and used our favorite florals throughout.. The rest is up to you.
Your kit has (21) fabrics plus (2) towelings so there is a lot of extra to play with to make it your own or to expand the quilt from this layout.
