As soon as summer rolls around each year, I immediately take out this quilt and we enjoy it on the porch, on the hammock, for outdoor picnics and wherever else our family can drag it around. It is one of my all time favorites and at this point it just means that summer is here for the Figs.

Here is the original description of how the pattern came about... "I don't often get to quilt just for myself but once in a while I just get too excited about some idea in my head to not take the time to do it! This was one of those quilts. I had been seeing Union Jack blocks and quilts made but none of them were exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that felt like summer and that was simple to construct. All the blocks I saw used templates or cutting methods that looked complicated or had a lot of fabric waste. So I decided to make my own pattern.... surprise, surprise. I combined all of my favorite florals and voila... Jumping Jacks was born"

So as this summer has now officially begun, we have decided to offer this pattern as a kit once again just in case you would like to join us in making this fabulous summertime project. Please be aware that the FABRICS IN THIS KIT ARE AS PICTURED IN THE KIT PHOTO. THE SAMPLE QUILT SHOWN IN THE VARIOUS PHOTOS IS THE ORIGINAL AND ALTHOUGH THE FABRICS ARE SIMILIAR [we have come really, really close], THEY ARE NOT IDENTICAL TO THE SAMPLE. Please be aware of this before you purchase the kit.

This kit includes all the fabrics you will need to make (12) different flags, the ivory and coral fabrics, the cream floral border IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND THE SMALLER CREAM PRINT SHOWN AS A SWATCH IN THE ABOVE PHOTOS WILL BE SUSTITUTED and green solid for the binding. It also includes the pattern. The kit does not include backing.
